$10 Minimum Wage Campaign

The Toronto and York Region Labour Council is continuing its campaign for a $10 minimum wage. Although the Liberals announced that the minimum wage will increase gradually to $10.25 an hour by 2010, low-wage workers can't afford to wait. Anti-poverty groups continue to call for a $10 minimum wage immediately, with annual cost of living increases.

Support MPP Cheri DiNovo's bill for a $10 minimum wage immediately. Bill 150 passed second reading in November, 2006 and is currently stalled at the Standing Committee on Estimates.

Email and send postcards to the Premier asking him to make Bill 150 law.
