Vote Out Poverty
This event combines music and talk to raise awareness of the need for a poverty reduction strategy in Ontario. Countries such as the UK and Ireland have implemented poverty reduction strategies that have achieved significant success, and are aiming to fully eliminate child poverty by 2020. Quebec, Newfoundland and Labrador also have comprehensive poverty reduction strategies. With a plan, poverty could be eliminated in Ontario too!

Cycling to end Poverty
Despite a heart attack on his second day cycling from Chatham to Toronto, former ISAC board member, Bill Haggett, remains committed to continuing to raise awareness of the need for a plan to end poverty. Bill is recovering from surgery and is in good spirits. He is planning to drive to Toronto to attend the Vote Out Poverty event on October 1st.
Your dedication and spirit is a true inspiration Bill. Get Better soon. We need you in the fight to end poverty!
